Take in your suit,
Take out your gal,
Take off of work,
Take on life, et. al.

Sea, air and land combine
in Dunkirk, but the tones,
ever an octave apart, rise.
Intensity is keeping distance.

How incredible are envelopes,
said very few people ever.
But to shield is to preserve,
to accompany intentions.

Oh, the names shifting in the wings,
for our child, whether boy or girl.
Some stage right, others stage left,
watching the curtains, waiting for lights.

The tenth circle of hell is changing
the credit card used for autopays —
and filled with those
complaining about it.

Two salads, two pizzas to-go
Clean house, window open
letting in wisps of weekend.

fathers today. Of daughters.

Lots of destructive biases out there.
